Hotel Neapolis: Hotel NEAPOLIS,Polychrono,Greece

by dusica_stamenik

It's very pleasant 3 star hotel in Polychrono,Kassandra.Very cheep one and good quality. In my stay over there breakfast and dinner were included. The food was delicious, staff who worked there were very polite. From the dinning place you can see perfect view of sea so your appetite becomes bigger:)).The hotel is right on the beach in the most frequent part of the small city Polychrono..but don't worry it is very peaceful at night because the city is mostly for families no discotheques near by.For what they offer in this place for so cheep price you need to pay,you can have very nice accommodation.

No pool, but you don't need it because the see is on 5m from the hotel

Refuge A: A Nice Chalet

by bgjulieta

The service was great, there are strict rules for hikers. It is very clean everywhere, the toilets are all in white, shower and sinks too. It is very warm in eating areas.

The only thing you should be always aware is to bring water in hot months. When we were in the chalet, there was water. It comes from melting snow so when the snow melts completely, water runs out!!!! Don't forget it or you ar egoing to stay thursty!!!

There is a wonderful view to the White sea and next to the chalet there is a helicopter landing point.

Parasun, Ixia: basic but great

by Honeytaster

I would recomend this place. Its not 5 star, but if you are not going to spend all your stay in your room its great. Paris and her son George are lovely very accomodating. I have read bad reviews but I wouls say they wanted 5 star accomodation without the 5 star prices.
The beach is 5 mins away, but you do have to cross a very busy road, but hey your on holiday, whats the rush? Only 10mins walk from the small town of Ixia and a 10 min bus ride into Rhodes - The old town is fantastic. We loved it and are returning again this year :-)

Limneo Guesthouse: Kerkini Lake Imaging Protected Area

by canadairpilot

I have visited limneo Guesthouse during my trip with my family. We generally like adventure and unique places to stay and do activities there. Limneo is a very nice and clean guesthouse and its personel is very kind. They helped us to explore some interesting places in the area and make horse riding and boating in the lake.
Nikos the owner cooked for us and we had a delecious meal in his accommodation. Buffalo in the hotel bakery with patatoes. He offered us this meal in order to satisfied us and I think becuase he is a very gently person.
His room bath was very clean and it smelt well with someting aromatic.
Very satisfied.

Confortable rooms.
Gently behavior.
No cost tour in the area.
Gently personel.

HOTEL GOGOS: ONE OF THE BEST HOTELS IN METEORA GREECE

by canadairpilot

Hotel Gogos is a family traditional hotel in Meteora Greece. It seems to be very luxury and confortable. It is located in the heart of Meteora Rocks just a few meters from the monastseries.
Georgio is a very gently person and shine I thing !! His accommodation is really clean and the personel is friendly. One good choice comparing the price and the stay.
There are hotel amenities in the bathroom so it is better to use them because its amenities are very known.
I would really recomend it to my friends and it would be very interesting to read some comments from other visitors of hotel Gogos.
There are many restaurants close by foot but if the visitors need to approach Kalambaka City they need a car or a walking distance about 20 minutes.

Great view of Meteora Rocks.
Luxury hotel areas View.
Very good bath amenities.
Gently owners and personell.

MARKAKIS STUDIOS - SANTORINI: GREAT PRICE & LOCATION

by DAO

I can assure you I paid less for this fantastic place than the rates on their own website. Markakis Studios is on a quiet side-street just south of the main square. In fact it’s next door to a car park that is only used during the day. Quiet, peaceful, yet a very short walk to all the noise.

This is a small, but intimate hotel. Its small pool is just right for its size. The rooms are large and actually consist of a kitchen, corridor, bathroom, bedroom and a balcony. Not bad for less than 50 Euros. They also give you plenty of closet/storage space.

The staff are very nice, clean the room everyday and make you feel welcome. You can even keep your room up to 6 pm on departure day for 20 Euros. They have a nice lobby that even has a shower if you need to hang out before going to the airport. Just 2 doors away is a fantastic grocery store run my Stelios. This store sells everything cheaper than the other stores in town. You are less than 2 blocks from the main square and the Caldera Views. You simply cannot do better than here for the combination of price, facilities and location.

Each ‘room’ or apartment has:

• Kitchen with dinning table and a good-sized fridge that works very well
• It’s own balcony, some with flowers
• Lots of closet/storage space
• Shower
• Remote control TV
• Remote control Air-conditioning
• Desk, chairs, hooks, mirrors
• Quiet at night. Every night.

The only downside is that the beds are very firm.

PIKERMI HOTEL (ATHENS): F**K ME

by DAO

HOSTELS.COM – YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED! YOU SAID “. It is very close to Athens international airport”. IT COST 3 OF US 89 EUROS TO GO TO AND FROM THE AIRPORT !!!!!

Other than that – this place completely sucks! Hostels.Com confirmed our 2 rooms to the hotel only 1 hour before our arrival, despite booking more than a week ahead. We could easily have paid 39 Euros to find no rooms. One of the rooms had a broken air-conditioner and TV. The staff said it would be fixed after we left the next day. So one person was woken to the sound of the near-by rooster because they had to have their windows open.

Rooms were basic and the whole hotel was as well.

No restaurant meant we had to jump a barrier to cross a highway to walk 800 meteres to the restaurant.

And the worst thing? Both Hostels.Com and the hotel show photos of the beach. Multiple photos. Not even within 15 miles of the coast!

Give this a complete miss. We could have paid to stay at a luxury hotel at the airport by the time we had paid for the taxi fares. And the taxis actually wanted more than we paid them!

Hotel Gabriel, Salamina Greece: Worst hotel ever! Salamina, Greece

by Nunnuli

The good thing about the hotel was that it was quite clean (except the details I describe below) and by the sea. The breakfast included 3 pieces of bread, butter and marmelade with coffee or tea. The first morning I had to wait for my breakfast for 45 minutes, because the cleaning lady (who seemed to be the only staff member in the hotel at that time) didn't understand what I wanted. She spoke only greek, which I don't speak. I showed her with hands what I wanted and even with a fork and knife, but she didn't seem to understand that I want to eat. I got a cup of coffee though... cold! Other mornings were faster. One day I went to the restaurant area to eat and after about 30 minutes of waiting for service, I found out that they didn't have a written menu. I then asked to have a beer, bread, tsatsiki, some potatoes, meat and little bit of salad (tomato or something) with feta. I waited 15 minutes for the beer. Asked for it a few times and every time they said: "oh yes, it's coming". Let me remind you that there was about 40 degrees celsius and I was very thirsty. I got my beer after 45 min of waiting and the food came quite fast after that. I got little plates of everything except the meet. The meet came later.. and it was two tiny burger kind of pieces of meet with no taste what so ever. I ate about one third of everything and got the bill... 21,50 euros! After having a discussion about the price they dropped 2,50 off of it. Still.. I had to pay 19 euros for a meal of total garbage. The only good thing was the beer, bread and tsatsiki. I stayed in the hotel for 5 nights and only once (the fourth day) the garbage in the room was emptied and the bed done. Let me remind you that in Salamina, you have to throw the used toilet paper in the garbage can too. We were two girlfriends staying in the same room and we slept in a double bed. We had only one sheet as a blanket in the bed and after the only cleaning, we had only one towel in the room. I would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone and even though I will be travelling to Salamina again because of friends I have there, I will never stay in this hotel myself either. I have travelled a lot and stayed in many types of hotels but never have I had service this bad or food this expensive comparing to the quality of it. The stay in the hotel cost 50 euros per night per room, so it wasn't by far even the cheapest hotel I've been in.

Hermes Hotel: Fabulous Hotel near Plaka

by ozpaul

Centrally located to Plaka and Syntagma Square - yet this hotel is very quiet. Wonderful restaurants close by. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Staff are attentive and helpful.

Ask for a room with a balcony. Great place to have a beer in the afternoon.
