At the northern end of the long stretch of beach, south of Koroni.
This is quite difficult to find by car, we never did!! There is a road signposted off the Vasilitsi road which we took, but somehow ended up in Koroni!!
There are quite a few buildings at this end, more developed than Memi, with accommdation and tavernas, also a sailing/windsurfing school. I know Simply Greece have a couple of apartments here at the Zaga Beach Hotel.
It's possible to walk along the beach from Memi to Zaga and then up to the castle, but it will take you at least an hour and believe you me, it's hot work!!
The views from the castle are a must. Looking down towards the long beach of Zaga, or down to the town, both worth the uphill walk.
On my return visit in 2008, I couldn't stop taking photos. The contrast of the blue sea and the lush vegetation was particularly stunning, as were the views of the harbour and beach. Try and visit on a clear day, for the best photos.
Koroni has a most magnificent beach, stretching for what seems like miles. It appears to have two names, Zaga, at it's northern end and Memi at the southern end, close to our accommodation.
Here, there is a small jetty and plenty of places to park, near a then defunct disco and a nearly open tverna.
The water is shallow for a long way and the beach sandy. Be aware that when the wind gets up, it can become very rough, as it seemed to do most afternoons.Philip really enjoyed suring inthe wave with his swim ring.
There is little development beind the beach, a few private buildings and the afore mentioned taverna. Set the other side of the road is a taverna, just as you reach the beach and a football/basketball court.

Sit and have a leisurely lunch, watch the comings and goings of fellow diners and listen to other conversations!
Don't forget to look for the finned fish in the sea.
