Away from it all (but not too far!)
This is a hotel exclusive to Unijet/First Choice (a UK travel company), so probably of little interest to non-UK readers. It's a 20-apartment villa complex located on the hillside overlooking the sea and Malia town. Has pool and poolside bar, which offers meals and bbqs on selected days (otherwise it's self-catering). If you're lucky you'll get a sea view, but view to the pool isn't too bad
Unique Quality: Firstly location wouldn't be suitable for everyone. Brochure says it's 800m uphill from the old town which is about right, and wasn't a problem for us, but might be for guests with young children or people not used to walking too far, unless you hire a car, then you don't have to worry. Consequence of small number of rooms and relatively remote location was that it was dead quiet all day and night, which was very relaxing and pool was never too crowded
