Family Cretan Moments

After a very enjoyable two-week stay at Dimitris Villa in Oktober 2006, we just want to say a few words of our impressions. Since 1994 we visited Matala (Dimitris Villa) already eight times. After several car trips all over Crete we are quite sure that there is no other region on the island which can really compete with Matala! Nowhere else you can find such a fascinating scenery like that of Zeus and Red Beach with their marvellous yellow-white limestone rocks - and nowhere else are out of the way creeks at the sea with such "comfortable" smooth yellow-white rocks (some of them are even shady if you are looking for). The absolute highlight this year, however, was the sight of three huge vultures in a distance of less than 50 meters over the lonely hills of the southern part of Matala. And last not least, there is no breakfast place in Matala with nicer surroundings than that of Dimitris Villa.

Unique Quality: The hotel has 15 A' class rooms, all of them with their own bathroom, balcony, Air-Condition, Heating, fridge, Satellite TV, swimming-pool for adults and pool for children, safe-box and phone.
In the Hotel taverna, near the pool and surrounded by flowers, we have enjoy our breakfast and a delicious traditional Cretan lunch. You might like to know that the Owners also provide the meat for the snacks (local production).
There are two swimming pools with sweet water, one for adults and one for children, and a big terrace with sun chairs and umbrellas free of charge for the Hotel guests .

Matala beach is just 200m away, and the place is surrounded by trees and greenery, making it an ideal place for a relaxing vacation!
Also, they offer Internet access for reading and sending e-mails for all of you interested.

There is also the possibility to organize excursions all over the island with air-conditioned busses or even by renting a car or bike direct from the Hotel at the best prices.

Hospitality in Greek language treasures as one of the most precious values and inheritance they got from them ancient Greek roots and the Cretan culture. They really mean to offer this to them guests while they stay in the hotel.
