Xiropigado: Typically Greek
by nickandchris
This was a nice little property, very Greek, looking onto the sea in Xiropigado.
It was one room with a double and single bed, small kitchen area with cooking rings and on the last day an oven arrived. (It had been in a room whose occupants had left.) The room was pretty well organised and we kept finding useful things like the sink plug etc.
This place was a relaxing stop off after leaving the hustle and bustle of Athens (where we had visited my cousin.) It was our first "rent room" on this three week holiday and we thought we'd found a little gem.
One of the most memorable things about this room was when we sat on the bed and it fell to pieces. We had been in the middle of a row. Well, it certainly made us laugh and ended the row!!
I also remember sitting on the balcony one morning and the owners on the floor above us passed down a carrier bag on a piece of string to the occupants in the room underneath them. Turned out it was a pair of glasses. I've heard it all now, sharing spectacles!
Cost was 5000drx a night. (1994)
