AVA Hotel Athens: Plaka's Best little Family Hotel
Satisfaction:

This is a wonderful little hotel in Plaka that has consistently been ranked the #1 hotel in trip advisor. So we decided to stay 2 night before we left Athens for home.
We were pleasently suprised. We stayed at their top/presedential suit that has a small kitched and a very large sit out and seperate bedroom.
Both have a Balcony.. a wonderful suire for under 200 Euros. This is the place I would stay when I am on a budget and looking for a best value on my money.
Very personalized attntion. When my flight was cancelled this hotel allowed me to make calls back home to the US about my flight cancellation for free.
They refused to take money, wonderful hotel. I will stay there anytime I am in Athens next.
We have had a rough journey getting to Athens , and the manager and staff of the AVA smoothed everything over by going out of the way to accomodate us ( free bottle of champagne 5 mins after checking in) we loved the tiled bathroom is our suite room 0 it was immaculte and the hotel was quiet and safe . you could just turn right out of the door and walk 3 blocks to a vantage point right underneath the arcropils , the restaurants nearby were great for people watching and relaxing in the shade.. do try to get to the museum and the enter the arcropils from the compleate other side from where the AVA hotel is located
This hotel was fantastic. The staff was extremely helpful and the rooms were more then spacious. It is located in Plaka, right between the Akropolis and the Temple of Zeus. When you walked out the front door, you look left to Hadrian's Arch at the end of the street and right to see the Greek flag flying from the Akropolis. It was also easy to get to from the subway station.
