Comfortable and Convenient

The hotel is an oasis of calm and civility in the midst of a gritty urban area. The hotel is just a block from Omonia Sqare. Within a few short of blocks of the square you can find expensive upscale shops, the central market and some rather grungy inner city areas. If you are easily scared be careful where you venture. On the plus side the location is just far enough away to not be in the midst of the tourist jungle around the Acropolis. There is a major subway station located below the square allowing for easy access to the area. The hotel is an easy 3 minute walk from the subway station. The lobby is finished with marble and features a quiet bar. The rooms are decorated in calm subdued colors. The rooms have individually controlled heat and air conditioning that really worked. Street traffic can be loud at rush hour and mid day, but was tolerable at night. Breakfast is a well stocked self serve buffet and features a wide selection of hot and cold items. The bathrooms are as nice as shown on the web-sites with very modern fixtures. The room was typical in size by European inner city standards (small by American Standards) but functioned very well for two large adults. With the subway you are less then 10 minutes from the Plaka at Monastraki Square. The hotel is a good choice if you want to be away from the hustle of the tourist zone and are tolerant of a slightly gritty inner city area.
