Balasca Hotel Athens

Balasca is a 3 star budget hotel in the Omonia area, not too far from the city center. The hotel has been renovated since I was there last, but during my stays the rooms were on the filthy side. Hopefully this has changed.

The hotel has a restaurant, bar, cafe, and 24 hour front desk. You may be able to access the rooftop for some amazing views of the Acropolis and Lykavittos, especially at night.

Another word about night - this hotel is not in the best of areas to walk around on the streets at night.

Unique Quality: Each room has a bathroom and shower, TV with cable, air conditioning, and a phone.

I wasn't too happy with the cleanliness of the rooms. I couldn't walk on the carpet barefoot because it was a little grimy. Like I said, hopefully this has changed with the renovation.
