Expensive for what it offers!
Some years back, this hotel was one of the best in Athens.
I used to visit it a lot on different seminars and during the English exams where students had to sit for their certificate. I always found it expensive to be honest, until a relative came here for 3 nights.
Internet is not free, and it costs really much. If I am not mistaken it was 15 euro a day where on other hotels nearby internet is completely free. If you want to use the mini bar…forget it. It is so expensive. 4 euro for a bottle of small water!
There are many kiosks all around, so don’t bother!
I believe more attention is given to those coming here for their seminars than to their guests. It is unfair.
Unique Quality: The rooms were comfortable and clean, and one very positive thing I can say is its location. Indeed the location is excellent especially for people coming on business.
But choose to eat out for sure!

Visible from my house
I have never stayed, but the Caravel is maybe only 10 meter from my apartment. It is a very nice and big hotel. It is right on a small square which has many places to eat and cafes. It is in a good location too, because it is walking distance from the center of Athens fro shopping etc.
Unique Quality: It has a nice cafe at the top with a great view

Divani Caravel
We spent 3 nights at the Divani. It's a beautiful 5 star hotel. However, I was a little disappointed by the location. I would have prefered an area within walking distance from the Plaka area. We had to take a cab everytime we wanted to go to the more central area of Athens.
Unique Quality: A little pricey. Excellent food in the restaurant but again, somewhat overpriced.
Superb buffet breakfast. Great service.
