We spent 3 nights at the Divani. It's a beautiful 5 star hotel. However, I was a little disappointed by the location. I would have prefered an area within walking distance from the Plaka area. We had to take a cab everytime we wanted to go to the more central area of Athens.
A little pricey. Excellent food in the restaurant but again, somewhat overpriced. Superb buffet breakfast. Great service.
I have never stayed, but the Caravel is maybe only 10 meter from my apartment. It is a very nice and big hotel. It is right on a small square which has many places to eat and cafes. It is in a good location too, because it is walking distance from the center of Athens fro shopping etc.
