Central, and with a nice view

We stayed 6 days in Athens, and found this hotel perfectly adequate. Albeit situated in a shabby part of the city, the Dorian Inn itself is all right. It's location near a large square made it a starting point for some student demonstrations. Nothing violent, but it could be a bit noisy when you went outside. Didn't hear anything from the rooms. The laundry service was pricy.

Unique Quality: A great 180 degrees view of Athens from the rooftop. A rooftop that includes a bar and a swimmingpool.

It was perfect!!

Dorian Inn is located in Omonia Square, it is in the center of Athens. That helped us save time because everything was near: the shops, all the archaeological sites, the metro.
I loved the restaurant of the hotel not only because of the meals but also because it had a marvelous view over the sea and Acropolis.
Our room was very comfortable and the staff was very helpful. We felt welcomed and I believe that we will go there again!

Unique Quality: Dorian Inn has a remarkable top floor swimming pool bar where we could drink our cocktails and a restaurant from where we could enjoy the spectacular views of the sea and Acropolis of Athens.

Hotel with a fantastic view.

Dorian Inn is a nice tourist hotel hear Omonia square.
It has 12 floors and a very unique view from the roof top where they also have a pool bar.
The rooms are well equipped and should fit the needs of most tourists who want comfort.
There are several common areas in the hotel and it´s easy to find a quiet corner if that is what you like.
The receptionist staff was very professional and did a good job when i was there and i will all in all say it´s a very nice place.

Unique Quality: The view from the rooftop bar is probaply the best view in Athens, overlooking the Acropolis.

IN THE MID OF DOWN TOWN

I was there for two nights for a business trip. There is no comfort and no activities as it is a really small hotel. The rooms are quite clean but although I was at 7 th floor it was very noisy.

Unique Quality: No activity. There is a swimming pool ! at roof. The view is good.

Stunning view of the Acropolis

The rooms were clean and quite large. It had a typical Western-style bathroom--a nice change from other European hotels I'd stayed at. The breakfast buffet was quite large and tasty. The area (Omonia) left a little to be desired, not as safe as we'd have liked at night. However, I would stay here again.

Unique Quality: We had a room on one of the top floors that faced the Acropolis. It was a spectacular sight, especially at night. Ask for a room with a view!

Dorian Inn, Athens

by mho826 about Dorian Inn

convenient location, great breakfast (someone mentioned the fresh orange juice machine, it's a real treat so I won't post any photos to destroy the surprise if you are going there). The room is very basic though but if you are like us, spending most of your time sight-seeing, it's good enough

Dorian Inn Hotel

by Bostephenson about Dorian Inn Hotel

No idea, was part of a package trip. Well, it has wonderful rooms. However, the best treat is the pool/bar on top of the hotel. The best part of this penthouse pleasure is the magnificent view of the Acropolis lent by the hotel's roof. At night it is the best way to see the Acropolis.

Easy city acces and WITH swimming pool

by Igraine about Dorian Inn

Near Onomia square. On my 2nd stay we has redecorated room, very nice one. Roomy bathroom. But the breakfast was less then i remembered. No more real fresh orange juice but the powdery stuff and i think less choices.

The area is not so nice looking but this hotel is near the metro so then within easy reach of all the sites. Best feature is its swimming pool on the roof. After a hot day there is nothing better then relaxing near the pool. From there you also have a very good view on the Akropolis since it is the highest building in the aerea.

It was also possible to have dinner on the restaurant there., views come included!

i have stayed several times at the dorian inn and if you can live with a crappy neighbourhood then the place is absolutely fantastic and has the best view in town over the acropolis.

If you're like us you won't spend a lot of time in your hotel. But 2 reasonably priced hotels we have stayed at are the Pan Hotel close to Syntagma, and the Tempi Hotel close to Monastraki Square. The Pan serves breakfast.
