Dorian Inn, Athens
by mho826 about Dorian Inn
convenient location, great breakfast (someone mentioned the fresh orange juice machine, it's a real treat so I won't post any photos to destroy the surprise if you are going there). The room is very basic though but if you are like us, spending most of your time sight-seeing, it's good enough

No idea, was part of a package trip. Well, it has wonderful rooms. However, the best treat is the pool/bar on top of the hotel. The best part of this penthouse pleasure is the magnificent view of the Acropolis lent by the hotel's roof. At night it is the best way to see the Acropolis.
Easy city acces and WITH swimming pool

Near Onomia square. On my 2nd stay we has redecorated room, very nice one. Roomy bathroom. But the breakfast was less then i remembered. No more real fresh orange juice but the powdery stuff and i think less choices.
The area is not so nice looking but this hotel is near the metro so then within easy reach of all the sites. Best feature is its swimming pool on the roof. After a hot day there is nothing better then relaxing near the pool. From there you also have a very good view on the Akropolis since it is the highest building in the aerea.
It was also possible to have dinner on the restaurant there., views come included!

i have stayed several times at the dorian inn and if you can live with a crappy neighbourhood then the place is absolutely fantastic and has the best view in town over the acropolis.

If you're like us you won't spend a lot of time in your hotel. But 2 reasonably priced hotels we have stayed at are the Pan Hotel close to Syntagma, and the Tempi Hotel close to Monastraki Square. The Pan serves breakfast.
