Quiet, clean and near metro station
I booked online and wasn't disappointed. The hotel is not hard to find because it's on a big street, far from city center but at 200 metres from Victoria's metro station. Don't expect luxury, but rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet, and it's really cheap!!!

Terrible, just terrible
This place is scary, totally run-down.
People saw cockroaches in their rooms; bathrooms had worn out equipment and cracked tiles. It was so unpleasant that a few people left for another hotel.

Can Anybody help me choose between these hotels.
I am looking for ahotel in a safe area ( will travel with child and family) and with close proximity to public modes of transport to visit athens.
Ill later move to mykonos, santorini and so would need to travel to Piraeus too.
The hotels in question are:
Hotel Solomou
Joker Hotel
Economy Hotel
Anita Hotel
Filoxenia Hotel

We stayed at Hotel Adrian- I do recommend it. It has a great breakfast included, and a rooftop area with pool & view of Acropolis.It is in good area called Plaka, within walking distance of the Acropolis and other interesting places.
There are triple rooms available, and children under 6 stay free.

Hotel Solomou and Hotel Filoxenia are 2' away from the Archeological Museum but apart from that the area isnt nice to be around when the sun goes down (full or junkies etc).
Joker and Economy Hotels is in bad area near Omonoia square.
try to book a hotel near Syntagma square, in Plaka area etc It's more expensive but safer for a family and child.
