DON'T STAY HERE

I would not advice my worst enemy to stay at the Hotel Athinaikon in Athens. First of all, it is located inside a murky secondary street in a very shady part of town. Hookers, heroin addicts and immigrants patronize the street at night. Second of all, the receptionist who works the night shift at the hotel is a lunatic who, for a good half an hour, tried to force his way into my bedroom one night. Fortunately, my door was locked but I couldn't call for help because my cellphone did not work in Greece. And don't expect to use the phone in the room, there's none!!! Third of all, the place reeks of rotten eggs and the rooms are so small there is barely place to put your suitcase. Trust me: there are way better hotels in Athens for the same price!!! Don't be a fool!!!!
