A Great Place to Stay in the Beautiful Plaka Area

10 min walk to Acropolis

U can see the Acropolis from ur window (10 min walk only) cuz it's centrally located for everything Athens is famous for! It's located in Plaka where cars are not allowed, so it's quiet place to stay and u can have a good quality sleep. Moreover, it's not a backpacker hostel where packed of drunk youngsters stay :P

Athen's best location

really good location in the center of Plaka, Now it looks even better as it was in 2001 when I stayed there,
Acropolis is a few minutes walk from there

In the heart of the Plaka

The students Inn isn't the typical kind of place which i would normaly stay in. It was quite a change for me as im quite spoiled and used to a minimum (!) 3* hotels.
But when i arrived to this hostel i was quite surprised. first, its fantastic Location, second it wasn't what i had in mind... probably what i imagined was the simple hostels that you see in the far east... But this was different.
It was like a small hotel, very clean, really nice and helpful staff, and the room was not that bad.
They offer either shared rooms or private rooms. Needless to say that i wasn't going to share a room with anyone, oh no, not me.
The private room was quite small with a comfi shower and small clothes cupboard.
Well basically thats what i needed.
The problem at this hostel is that in the morning when the cleaners are starting to work...thats aprx when your sleep is ending..
They never talk quietly and the wooden doors are kind of light ones so...

The time that i was there was once again an advantage cause i think that in summer time its fully booked and then it can be much more noisier...

The price was relatively Expensive 45 Euro per night but was changed in March... meaning more expensive at the high season.
Yes thats Athens... expensive but then i wouldn't changed that cause i couldn't ask for a better location, it was perfect, in a lovelty lovely quite area of the Plaka, where you are so close to the Akropolis and all you have to do is walk 2 min' and look up and there it is...
Now after visiting a few well known areas of Athens i know that in my next time there i'll stay only in the plaka and no where else !

Student's Inn, heart of Plaka

This simple hostel is extremely well located, in the Plaka, where you'd probably go dinning several times, so it will be a short way home afterwards.

City centre's youth hostel

Right at the city centre, good location.. dorm room with 8 beds.. no air conditioning.. hot water provision not stable.. clean place.. modern style.. with internet service (3 euro for 30 min).. breakfast not included

Student and Travelers Inn

Unique Quality: The location can't be beat. The owners of this place also own another hostel in Omonia-Hostel Aphrodite. If you have the choice, avoid Omonia. As a solo female traveler I found Omonia to be a bit dodgey.
