We needed somewhere to stay overnight between arriving from Scotland at Athens airport, and getting our domestic flight to Iraklion the next morning. New airport had just opened, but not the airport hotel!

Glyfada is just down the coast from the city, so we went there. It was good. Kind of acclimatised from N Europe in mid October to eastern Med!

Would be good place to stay if you want to do all the Athens stuff without staying in the city!
