We visited Kefalonia having read the book and were not disapointed. Scala was quiet , peaceful and hot. Excellent bus service around the island. One round the island organised tour gave us our bearings. Fiscardo was like Cowes in August full of yachties. St. Gerraimos beautiful, Sami and anti Samos remote but delightful. Ionian day 21st May Argostoli full of children and parades. All in all a peaceful walking holiday amongst historical sites.
