We booked 2 rooms for 1 week, for the Greek Easter after seeing the Ifigenia Studios web site. The photos of the rooms looked lovely, and as we wanted a traditional place we went ahead and paid 180 euros which was the deposit requested by the owner. What a shock when we got there. The rooms were so small you couldn't move about in them. One room had a broken toilet, and dirty bed linen, and both rooms had dirty showers. When we complained we were shown 2 other rooms equally as unpleasant - dark and dingy with a lethal staircase. We asked for our money back and were told that the owner would be there the next day. Needless to say he never arrived and after being shouted at and called liars by the hotel receptionist we were glad to get out. The owner has ignored our e-mail requesting a refund. Definitely not a place we would recommend to anyone. Maybe the owner saves the 'nice' rooms for people who haven't paid a deposit yet and can't get ripped off. If only we had seen a review of this hotel - at least now we can stop someone else from being treated like we were.
Did manage to find another hotel though and it was great! Hotel Lucia, right on the old harbour. Big rooms, en-suites, clean and friendly with views across the harbour - great value too!
Unique Quality: Only rudeness.
