Making the choice of finding a hotel outside of Chania was a good one. When I got to see Chania and the road where the hotels are mostly found, I was relieved that we had discovered this one.
The hotel was modern and well kept, clean and access to the beach was 5 minutes walking.
At night it was totally quiet, and there was only one other hotel nearby.
There are no restaurants within walking, but 4 minutes driving you have many choices.
    See my tips on restaurants..
I have also included a shot of the beach below the hotel from the little cantina.

Unique Quality: 3 Stories of clean rooms. Our room was the biggest hotel room we stayed in while in Crete. The bed was firm, the kitchen was nice with hot plate burners and a small fridge. Air conditioning, and a balcony that has a view of the sea. We ate breakfast out there every morning. There is also a functioning tv, and wifi downstairs.
Expect the room to be tidy, but they only change the sheets every two days.
Shower is small, but the bathroom is medium size.
The beach below the hotel is nice, and there is a cantina there for snacks or lunch. Just a short walk to the beach, or you can drive and park for free there.
I would recommend this hotel for anyone who likes to find a hotel like this and wants to pay less than hotels directly on the beach or at the restaurant areas.

Travel Tips for Chania

A Picturesque journey of history and romance

by jgacis

"The second largest city of Crete Island"

Chania has a long past and places itself in many parts of western civiliation history. It's deep roots from the history of Classical Greece range from the early Minoan settlers to the Romans who defeated the Cretans. Other empires have had their hold on Crete Island (Byzantine, Venetia, Ottomans) and the local appeal of the city's harbour reflects this. Walking through the Venetian harbours and tracing the historical remniscents of european and islamic influence, the feeling of a time long past and the sights of natural and architectural beauty surround you.
