Chania -basicly the old town- is better to be discovered on foot, and the fastest way too... At such streets you can see pictures of the past. These girls, maybe after many years, will tell the same stories to their grandchildren...
For me, its not even a comparison as to which city in Crete is the best. With its quaint harbor lined with restaurants and bars, narrow lanes, and intimate feel, Hania (or whatever spelling you like) takes the cake.
