Hotel Shadow: Good value, good views

This hotel is recommended in my Rough Guide guidebook to Greece - a handy place to stay as a base to see the site of Ancient Korinthos which Arhea Korinthos is spread around and of course a base to also see Acro Corinth. Being only 7 km from Korinthos and the Corinth Canal but with a more tranquil setting.

Having rooms up on the second floor and at the rear of the hotel means they have nice views to the town centre - which is the remaining centre of what was once 15km of Roman city - and the columns of the Temple of Apollo as well as the impressive rock that Acro Corinth is built on at 565m.

Ensuite rooms with good hot water and heating, no TV though but that can be nice to have a night off from TV when youre a busy traveller! Double and twin beds available.

Breakfast is available but I wanted to get away early and not encroach on the managers schedule to take their children to school - but otherwise that is good value too but from about 8am.

Nice views - also at night with lights in the distance - and at sunrise and sunset from the balcony along the rooms to the rear of the hotel.

On the bottom floor is a labelled fossil and mineral collection that would be particularly interesting to families travelling with children.
