7 km southeast of Korinthos (modern Corinth) is Arhea Korinthos (ancient Corinth) which is spread around the Recommended in my Rough guide to Greece, though I was hoping for something a bit cheaper, the price here without breakfast was not bad at 30 euro or 35 euro with breakfast for a nice room with ensuite and views over someones orange grove to the Ancient Corinth site and up to Acro Corinth on its rock 565 metre above.
Friendly family owners - nice views from rooms at the rear - which are quiet and face the sunrise.
I stayed here on a backpacking trip for one day with a group of people. It was a fine, well exceptable deal. I got my our room,it suited the purpose for the night but for the harassment I had to put up with was not worth it. The owner, the only guy that works there, is very touchy feely, at first I over looked it thinking it was a Greek cultural difference, trying to nice or something. So ladies look out.
The room was fine, not bad...had all that one would need. But the beach in the name, I thought kind of did not tell all the truth. There was harbour, not a beach...
Clean, quiet, friendly and reasonably priced.
Excellent view and beach facilities. Next to the Casino.
