Cape Katakolon: Cape Katakolon

When we visited Olympia, we preferred to camp at Cape Katakolon, 20 km away from Olympia. We found a quiet bare field between odoriferous Mediterranean bushes. Though free camping is theoretically forbidden in Greece, we practiced it all the time but always chose desert places where nobody would care. Of course, camping outside of a camping ground closer to Olympia would have been adventurous. We preferred to go to Cape Katakolon where the kids could sit down and watch the play given by a flock of goats!

Quiet!
