Florina city

"A small northern city"
Florina is not a big and famous greek city. It's in nothern Greece. It's very beautiful in it's own way. It's mountainous and during winter the snow it's too thick and the mountains are white. During summer and spring the mountains are green and beautiful.
I was many summers there. Probably it's not one of the most impressive and must-see cities in Greece but I love it as my home-city.
Flo-Flo-Florina!!

This is one of the coldest cities in Greece. (hmm.. interesting that this is the first thing that comes to mind about this city, which i don't know very well, so it must be one of its major characteristics.) One Sunday in November I decided to go with a group of friends on an excursion to the lakes Prespes only to find out that there was ice on the road, and as we weren't feeling particulary risky on that day we decided to stop at Florina. I only spent a couple of hours there so i can't really give any tips, just some pictures. There's a lot of traditional architecture, a memory of a prosperous past. But the present didn't seem too exciting to me. There's an atmosphere of decadance... Buildings are left on their own, and young people have left town.
