DELPHI - Theatre
Near to Apollo's Temple is the well-preserved 4th century theatre with seating capacity for 5,000 spectators. It isn't as good preserved as the theatre at Epidaurus, but still nice to have a look at.

Is it possible to visit Osios Loukas from Delphi using public transportation, or is a car necessary?
I am sure there is no direct bus, but I don't know if there is connection between different lines. I think the best way is to rent a car or a taxi. I estimate the distance to about 35 km.
Lonely planet says: You can take the Delphi bus from Athens and ask the driver to stop at the turn-off for Distomo, from where you should be able to flag down a taxi for the 12 km to the monasterie. Otherwise it's a 3km walk to the taxi stand at Distomo. From Livadia there are 11 buses daily to Distomo and 1 to the monastery at 1 pm. from Livadia there are buses to Athens.
I think it would be wise to rent a car... have fun Maria

Located 278 km (110 miles) north-west of Athens.
Mount Parnassus is where Greece's most famous ancient Oracle and most beautiful site DELPHI is located.
The ancient Greeks believed that Delphi was the center of the world. Apollo chose this spot as the home of its most famous Oracle. Pilgrims came to Delphi from all over the Greek world to ask Apollo's advice on affairs of state as well as personal matters.
According to legend, when Zeus wanted to determine the earth's center, he released two eagles from Olympus. When the eagles met over Delphi, he had his answer.
Delphi was also the site of the Pythian Games, the most famous festival in Greece after the Olympics.
Higher up of Apollos temple you'll find the stadium, with stone seats (still in good condition), where athletic contests and musical events used to be held. The Festivals of Music and Ancient Drama are held here during July and August.
It is the best exhibit of the museum, one of the most famous ancient statues worldwide...
This bronze statue was belonging to a larger group which represented a chariot drawn by four horses. It was dedicated to Apollo by Polycalos, who was the tyrant of Gela. That happened in 478 BC, when he won at the Pythian Games.
Above the charioteer, you can see the sky -as there is a small pyramid- and the physical light offers you many ideas for taking pictures.
.........are the waitresses getting younger?
Here I was sitting on the terrace of this little cafe overlooking the valley with a beer and watching the butterflies fluttering by and here's our waitress, she really was a little charmer!
