Ellopia Point Boutique Suites: More than you expect!
Actually, it is not a hotel. Neither Studios. I would describe it as "luxury and modern design suites". The staff is great and the quality of service is remarkable. It is located in a very quet area next to University of the city. I think that the best advantage of it is the "value for money" factor. Great hospitality in a super prise.
I think that the best part of Ellopia is the combination of the hospitality and freandship of the staff and the quality of the provided services and the rooms.
Moreover, the huge rooms include a small kitchen, very useful for anything!
Plus, there is a coupon for 50% discount for nature activities like biking, diving etc. of alpinezone.gr

Dead-end road camping!: Dead-end road camping!
We found a short gravel road leading to an apparently abandoned quarry with an outstanding view on the lake and the city. That was a perfect spot to spend a night as far as our tent being set on top of the car, luckily, we did not need to fix it on the hard ground!
The sight !

Hotel Filyra: A True Gem
This family run boutique hotel is truly a gem. The rooms are huge - I mean huge - and the family that runs the hotel is very, very helpful and friendly. The elderly mother does not speak much English, but she is very sweet if you try some Greek with her. The rooms have no air conditioning, which is one drawback (it was in the 40s when I was in Ioannina) but they have fans and their own kitchenette with a fridge and complimentary coffee. The bathroom is modern and complete with shower and hairdryer. The beds are large and very comfortable. The room décor is tasteful and the views from the rooms, which look into the historic Kastro, are picturesque.
Space! Although the hotel was more expensive than the usual budget accomodations (50 euro per person), you clearly get your money's worth.

If you want some luxury Hotel...
If you want some luxury Hotel Du Lac with the local style by the lake is wonderful. But if you prefer some less expensive there are plenty of pensions in the Lake Island, some good Hotels and Pensions in Town and and Hotels in Zagori in Metsovo and in Konitsa ( a little beautiful town about 50 km from Ioannina Town)
It depend what do you prefer... I like Hotelb Du Lac for his local colour and Luxury, but I love to enjoy snowing view from a pension window in Papiggo, Vitsa-villages of Zggori and willing for extreme sports like kayak or rafting in Konitsa
