Villa del Lago: beautiful guesthouse in Dispilio
New guesthouse built with financial support from the European Union in traditional local style. Tastefully furnished and decorated rooms and communal areas. Everything was sparkling clean. Aim for a room facing the lake. Set parking. Next to archeological site and museum of Dispilio's prehistoric lake settlement.
Athena is a most warm hostess who greets guests with a friendly smile and who also bakes various goodies for breakfast.
It's a family friendly place - they will provide an extra bed/play-pen for little kids.
The main disadvantage is the village it's located in which lacks a warm, traditional character and doesn't have much else to offer other than the archeological site. However, it's only 7 kilometers from the main town of Kastoria, which offers options for entertainment (restaurants, bars, cafes, shops, etc.).
