Alexandra Golden Hotel: A beautiful Hotel in Thassos

Alexandra Golden Hotel is one of the most beautiful luxury hotels I have ever been to. We had the chance to enjoy facilities like the jacuzzi that they had in the pool... the big pool with the artificial sand in its bottom, the sauna, the gym and so many more....We enjoyed ourselves in the luxury that it was offered to us.
Moreover I loved the excellent cuisine at the restaurant, they used local ingredients, such as the famous honey and olive oil. We had the chance to learn all about the mediterranean diet.
Thassos gave us the opportunity to enjoy nature... we went walks around the island.It made us relax.

Sunny Hotel: A romantic place to be

Thassos is a very beautiful island i loved the fact that it is near the sea..The view was pretty romantic!!
We had a lovely accommodation at Sunny Hotel our room was lovely... decorated in earth colors.
We were lucky because we had the chance to take a tour around the island of Thassos, it was organized from the hotel. We were able to see places that we could not discover on our own...
The island of Thassos made me love Greece!

The hotel offers : a café bar, a veranda viewing the sea, parking, room service... and so much more!!

Kallisti Hotel: A 4 star hotel in Thassos

The island of Thassos helped me relax and experience the ideal holiday!!Our rooms were very comfortable, they provided us internet wi-fi, fully equipped kitchen, mini bar, bathroom with jacuzzi, balcony with sea view...etc.
kallisti Hotel is a luxury hotel that provides you with the best accommodation. The staff was very polite and helpful that made me feel welcomed. The island is so beautiful and i believe that four days are just not enough.

Kallisti Hotel offers : café bar in the pool, café bar in terrace with sea view, a pool of high standards, sun beds and umbrellas, restaurant in Potos, internet access, breakfast room and BBQ.

Rent a Holiday House instead of a Hotel room!

If you are planning to visit Thassos with your family or with friends, and you are not very fond of hotels, then why not renting a house with a garden instead! This beautiful rustic property is set in 1.5 acres overlooking the Golden Beach bay with panoramic view of the town of Pangia.

Included within the price, a 4 seater car and a 2 seater scooter.

Room for 6 adults, (3 generous double rooms) and a sofa bed in case you want to accommodate some guests. Just 10 minutes drive from the Golden Beach. Panagia village is just 5 minute walk up the mountain.

MARANTON BEACH HOTEL: STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL !

We spent a week here, and although our room was in the main building the other two buildings were not matching with the main one and were awful. With the daily complains and quarrels the people had, I asked a number of them to show me their rooms to check if they were over reacting. To my surprise these rooms should be part of a 2* hotel and were so different from the rooms in the main building, the one we were staying at. The difference is so great between them! The hotel owner takes advantage of the whole situation here, and the other two buildings should belong to a 2*hotel for sure. The reception, the games room, the lounge and mini market and dining room and some rooms and suites are in the main building, but it is ridiculous when people arrive to get their key and sent to stay in one of the other buildings.

Although our room was in the main building and we were told that it was a suite, the bathrooms smelled badly because of mould. No window, nothing to bring air in and to dry the place. Shampoo and foam bath was not renewed.
There are no qualities to name in this hotel at all. There were one or two ladies who were cleaning, and were paid 15 euros for 8 working hours. Both ladies were worn out working like slaves out there. The owner is obvious taking advantage of them.
The photo on the website of the hotel that shows a room is actually the suite we were staying in. Isn’t this surprising? Is this room to be considered a suite?

Foreigners coming from the nearby countries mostly with children, with little money on them were forced to eat out because they could not stand the food which is the worst part of the story here.
Breakfast was continental, but of really bad quality. We were there on a half board basis, and we saw that nobody could eat what was served. The daily quarrels especially in the evening were a highlight here!
Even the kebab we had one night was boiled first, probably because the meat smelled badly, and then they decided to put it on the grill. The result was that it was something so soft.....as if it was not meat at all!!
Out of the 7 nights we spent here only once the food was satisfactory. It was frozen fish but it was ok. Although there was a buffet, we were not allowed that only time we could eat a second piece, to return to the buffet a second time. There was somebody from the kitchen staff standing and watching every single person there. He kept informing us that there was not enough fish for all the guests in the hotel. We felt as if we were under the supervision of junta here!

The funniest of all was when I complained myself about what was happening and told them that I have seen the other buildings and commented about the food. I was then brought a basket of fruit and two miniature bottles of whisky in our room. This was to bribe us in a way, because I told the lady that I am a Guide Writer and I will write everything down.
What a terrible experience in such a beautiful Greek island this was!

Nostos Studios: Golden Beach's best studios

Our apartment was bright, well equipped, spacious, clean, and above all because we booked directly with the owners, included the safe and air conditioning. Most guests come back here year after year and I can see why. All of the apartments face east or south, so get the sun for a good portion of the day, the gardens are green, flowery and lovely to sit in, with views of the mountains (and the sea from the upper apartments). There is a bar area, reasonably priced drinks, helpful and friendly service. Would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone, and will go back ourselves, we only found one other place in the resort where we would happily stay, but it would still be second best to Nostos.
Nostos is the Greek word for "homecoming". It couldn't be more appropriate.

The owners! What a great bunch of people they are. It's family run, the all live on site so any problems are ironed out straight away, and above all they remember everyone who has been there before, and greet them like long lost friends. It's more like a home from home than a holiday, and I have never relaxed so quickly before. Didn't want to leave, even though the weather was too hot for me. I miss them all already, that's how nice they are. And they all speak English, but will teach you Greek too, which is more fun than it sounds!

Vera Lili Apartments: Absolutely Wonderful

The Vera Lilli Apartments are a 20 minute walk from the centre of Thassos Town. Fotos is always on hand to help with Tourist Advise. The apartments have a pool at the front of the property and a poolside bar/snack bar. I could not recommend these apartments highly enough. They have their own website.

The apartments are set in the most beautifully cared for gardens, with pool. The scents from the roses are beautiful. The owners of the apartments are so helpful and are quite literally a talking guide book. The apartments, grounds and pool are absolutely spotless. The apartment fronts the road which is not particularly busy and are on three levels. They are roomy, have satellite tv and a reasonably equipped kitchenette. Our apartment had two single beds and a rather beautiful wrought-iron day bed, with ensuite bathroom/shower.

Vila Alexandra in Limenas (Thasos Town)

In Thasos there are mostly private houses that rent rooms with small kitchens, there are hotels all right, but I have no idea how much they cost. Private houses are most popular and cheap ways of staying there.

I ll add photos of the hotels I shooted while on Thasos, maybe that would be helpful to you.

The house owner name is Roula. Like form that movie The Big Fat Greek Wedding. She speaks greek, greman and little bit of all languages.
