corfu kassiopi shuttle bus
by dani_kova
Hi,can anybody give me a tip how to transfer from Corfu airport to Kassiopi, I just found some shuttle buses on the net, but prices are really crazy. Thank you!

The Corfu bus company does not serve the airport. You can take a cab to Town to the Green bus station and take from here the bus to Kassiopi. See:
http://www.allcorfu.com/ou-buses.html
Also, as you leave the airport and walk a bit, you ill reach a "highway" and a busstop to bring you in the town if you don't want to pay for a taxi.
Have a good stay on this nice island !! maria
Travel Tips for Corfu Island
BICYCLING
by Andreas_Fran
These days over 6000 people a year visit Corfu for the sole purpose of a bicycling holiday. Exactly twice that number rent bikes on the spot for several days of their holidays. They all consider Corfu to be a paradise for the enjoyment of their hobby. With a bike, you can go to places otherwise accessible only on foot, you can get the feel of the place and the people, you can experience its peace and tranquility. What is more, even at the height of the season, on the fifteenth of August say, you can find a deserted beach and swim alone. A slow bike ride along shady lanes, the feeling of pleasure as you ride through a stream - these are experiences you must know.
Liston
by mindcrime
This is a building complex designed by M. Lesseps in 1807, it’s a small copy of rue de Rivoli in Paris. The arcades with the white lights is a very common picture of Corfu, shown in postcards etc The lights are white but during easter week they have a melancholic but picturesque purple color (pic 3).
Under the arcades are located many cafes and restaurants, we stopped many times (when there was a free seat) and I can say that definitely Liston is one of the busiest spots in town with locals and visitors gathering here day and night. During high season like in easter or august nights pic 4 shows that a river of people is always in front of Liston!
One of the cafes has the name Libro d’Oro(Golden Book). It’s the list of noble people that were allowed to promenade here during the venetian occupation and from that “list” took its name (Liston) in our days. Some others say it from the venetian word “lista” which is a direct street.
Town Hall
by mindcrime
The Town Hall is another fine example of venetian style (pic 1). It used to house the San Giocomo Opera Theatre between 1733-1893. It was established in 1693.
In our days is the place where some couple like to get married! (don’t be surprised if you see a couple with an orchestra leading them there) :) As we were already married we just checked some details of the façade (pic 2) and sit for a while at the square where the Town Hall is located.
The little square (pic 3) is in different levels with steps, and has some restaurants, a statue of Iakovos Polyvas (1825-1896, writer and politician) and many flowers. The nice church at this square is the Catholic cathedral (see next tip).
