how to reach Corf u from Athens not very expensive?
BUS!
Regular services from the Athens KTEL (=intercity Bus) station, but i do not know which of the two houses the Kerkyra (=Corfu) busses. I could find out when I return to Greece, hope someone will help in the meantime.
Are you serious? Kerkira is an island, right? I thought the only ways there are by boat/ferry or plane.
My son just left Corfu today on his way to Athens. They took a ferry (www.bluestarferries.com) from Corfu to Patras, I think they said it was 6 euros for a deck ticket, then a bus from Patras to Athens. Said the deck was great because it was cheap and they met so many people. Good Luck and have fun!

Kerkyra is an island, but the bus takes the local ferry so u need not worry...
Prices... hmmm, I am overseas right now, I could tell u tomorrow, but why don't u contact Andreas & Fran here in VT and ask him, he will know!
You can take the bus from the station in Kifissos. Buses leave at 7, 10, 22 and 22:30 and the price is 29.50 Euros.

A short boattrip from Corfu and you arrive on the prettiest island of the Ionian. Paxos is great for walking. See my Corfu-Intro page for more info. You'll come across some pretty amazing olive trees here! And the sea is never far away, in fact, many small paths lead to secluded beaches...
Spiros on the beach restaurants are in several resorts in Corfu,this one in Agios Georgeos is very nice and has a relaxed feel to it,sit inside or enjoy lovely views from the balcony area,service is good and very friendly and the price is good too. I had the Pork Gyros,they were quite small so i had two,very tasty and filling.
Aqualand is great fun; there is something for everyone from age 0 to 100. It has 15 pools including, lazy river, wave pool, pirate adventure, shallow pools and deep pools. There are slides of different lengths and heights. There are shops, café’s and plenty of places to sit on sun loungers under umbrellas.
We were in sidari in October the weather started out not good but got better later in the week.
Sidari is full of bars restaurants and a few night clubs. Most of the bars are good with prodection tv with films and football this is ok if the weather is not to good but not my idea of an holiday.
Sidari is spread out mainly centred down the main street, also there are parts that are very picturest especialy the canal de amour.
In all this resort will apeal to all ages as a mixture of quite and lively bars.
There are quite a few good restaurants which are very good value and quality.
Also you can see Albania from the beach.
Corfu town is a must but book your trip with a local travel agent cost about 4 euro.
