Stablus Restaurant
by dimilag
It is situated at a part of the Southern Fort. In here you are going to find a cafe, bar and a restaurant but in the meanwhile you can visit art exhibitions. The cuisine is gourmet mediterannean and there is a great list of wines. After dinner you should try the home made sweets. Often, live music shows are organised by the owners.

Corfu - Greece at it´s best
by SteffiW
"Corfu is one of the best spots in Greece"
My boyfriend and I have been travelling Greece quite a bit, and we decided that Corfu is a great place for Greece-newcomers. The size is great for a 7-14 day stay, its landscape and nature holds both lovely beaches and forrests. the island is good for mountainbiking, hiking (Corfu trail!!), diving / snorkeling, etc. The inhabitants are, like most Greek, very friendly and openminded, even old people welcome you and like to chat with tourists.
"Kerkyra - Corfu city"
The capital of Corfu is corfu town or "Kerkyra". It´s a beautiful old town, and the ancient houses and the castle overviewing the bay tell you stories about the long history and tradition of this place. Lovely coffee houses and restaurant mark the hotspots in town, and on holidays and Sundays, they are crowded with all the Greek inhabitants that want to "see and be seen" like in every other European town. In the old city centre, you also find all kinds of shops. Don´t miss the market days and visit the castle. This town definitely is worth a visit (or more!).
"Beware of the weather"
Corfu is known as on of the "greenest" places of Greece. Mind you, that means, there can be some RAIN too!! Summer is mainly dry, but there can be rain in some weeks of the year, check the forcasts and typical tourist informations in your travelling books. We had a phantastic day in pouring rain, though, wearing a simple rain cover we bought at the market. We looked like walking tents, but we had the fun of our lives. So always make the best of it. And enjoy the GREEN of the island (especially the forrests), and the great climate too.
