Chrissi island
Golden (chrissi) island or donkey's island..
Thats a one day trip with a 'Fun boat' to a splendid white sand uninhabited island.
U could leave 10:30 or 12:30 from Ierapetra's harbour & come back 17:00 or 18:00, the trip with the boat is great & the island is fantastic.
Our Greek friends told us that even lady D & prince Charles came here (by helicopter though:)
The legend goes that Crete habitants used to refugiate & hide there from pirates..apparently many pirates boats sunk in this area.
