Looking Towards Nidri

More views from the hinterland, this time towards Nidri and it's privately owned islands of Skorpios, Skorpidi, Sparti and Mandouri as well as Meganisi. The latter is reached from Nidri by daily ferry.
Nidri is "the" major resort on Lefkas, despite not having a brilliant beach. You can see that it's location is pretty splendid, surrounded by greenery and offshore islands. Hard to believe from these views how bustling and sprawled out the place is. Views like this.

What a Coastline.....

Drive down the west coast of Lefkas and you come across stunning scenery like this. At the time, we couldn't find any way down to the beach and Michael had just fallen asleep. I have since read that there is a steep descent by steps. Must be some path!!

"Vasiliki"

Vasiliki is a small picturesque "town" on the southern cape (Cape Lefkata) on Lefkas-island. There are many taverns
on the main-street along the small
harbor and many hidden bays like
Agiophylli etc. right behind the hills.
Such bays have made Vasiliki a
paradise for surfers in summer.
Even though I was there for Christmas, I could enjoy a
magnificent view down to the
lighthouse and to Ithaca opposite
Vasiliki Bay.
