Salesmen......
This man certainly tried his hardest to sell his garlic to the taverna proprietor. He didn't make a sale but he still went away happily , singing to all and sundry!! I wonder if he was on commission???

Not very big island but there's some nice beaches if you are willing to walk and explore. Even if you aren't you'll find somewhere to soak up the sun, in the east on the Geni Peninsula for instance or on the west coast such as Kathisma.
We must admit that we didn't like Lefkas as much as Crete or Cefalonnia but still had a relaxing holiday.
They say that the best time of year to visit Lefkas is spring or early summer - we went in May and would agree with that; the island is still fresh and green and the mountains cool and covered in wildflowers - Easy to get away from it all and enjoy the tranquility.
These aren't so much one big waterfall, more several smaller ones connected by secluded pools. There was still plenty of water flowing in May although they apparently run dry in summer. It was also quiet enough to take an evening dip in them with no one else around which was romantic but a little chilly!
