PERFECT RECOMMENDATION Warburton's Bolton
When can we come back?!!
Just spent a week's holiday at The Paradise Hotel and we can't wait to return!
What a fantastic location on a very beautiful island. Costas, Dimitri, Vaios and Anastasia were the best hosts you could wish for - so friendly, welcoming and hospitable - nothing was too much trouble and you really felt like part of their family.
The hotel itself, pool, rooms, restaurant etc. were spotlessly clean and the homecooked food was delicious. Greek salad, lamb in the oven, baked cheese, tzatziki and feta made from milk from the goats in the adjacent olive groves was out of this world!
In addition, the courtesy bus into Skiathos six times a day was great if you wanted a change of scenery but you could spend a whole week in the hotel, not going anywhere, and have the most relaxing holiday ever.
Take a few books, pick a sun lounger by the pool and sit back and enjoy the hot Greek sunshine in the aptly named Paradise Hotel - ten out of ten!

Paridise at Paridise
We have just returned from our fith trip to the Paridise Hotel in Skiathos. Normally we avoid anything with the name Paridise or Quality as they invariably mean the reverese but not in this case. A truly family run hotel with clean, simple, quality facilities and a stunning view affoded by its elevated position. Yes, it is on top of a steep hill but be assured the view and the refreshing breeze is more than adaquate compensation. A true oasis of calm compared to the relative bussle of the Town and beach areas. A reliable free min-bus service will get you down the hill and into town or to a bus stop. Home cooking is simple but delicious. I could go on but it would not add anything. If you want a relaxing holiday in really friendly surrounings but do not want to be too far away from the town and beaches you should try this. But not too many - we want to go back soon.

the name says it all
our friends recommended this hotel to us they came last year and are returning again this year ,the hotel is run by a lovely family who cannot do enough to please you they must be so proud of their reputation as all the people we spoke to had been returning year after year some as many as 8 years, it is spotlessly clean ,the food is delicious ,the views are breath taking , it was a very friendly relaxed atmosphere and we would highly recommend this hotel to anybody
Skaithos and Pardise Hotel what a combination
This was our first visit to Skiathos and the Paradise Hotel and we were very impressed with the island and the hotel. The Paradise Hotel is a small family run hotel and they introduce themselves to you when you arrive and address you on first name terms whilst you were there and genuinly make you very welcome. The view from our room and the hotels outside dining patio area were outstanding as was the excellent home cooked food we ate there six nights out of our seven night stay. We also found that being a popular hotel many guest were regulars who also made us welcome and gave us good advice as where to go and what to do. Because of where the hotel is situated and the facilities and personal attention by the family you could easily spend a week just sat around at the hotel.
We toured all around the island over and around mountains exploring on a trials bike which added to the fun and saw some pretty spectactular scenery. We had a great holiday and would reccomend Skiathos and THE PARADISE HOTEL to anyone.
We have just returned back from a two week break in Skiathos at the hotel paradise, the hotel is situated in a fantastic location surronded by pine groves overlooking the sea. the rooms are pretty basic here and the bathroom and shower leaves a lot to be desired, but saying that they are cleaned on a daily basis to a high standard. The hotel is owned and run by Vious ( Father ) and two sons Kostas and Dimitri, the service and hospitality could not be faulted in the first week on a few nights we sat in the bar talking to both sons till 3.30am in the morning.
Then came the second week, you could cut the atmosphere with a knife! infact a few families that had visited year after year some as much as eight times also commented on this, on a couple of nights we went into the main town and returned at around 2.30 am ish, the greeting we received back at the hotel made us feel like naughty kids! on another night we had planned to have a quiet drink on our balcony with a couple we had met, I asked Kostas if the doors to the floor levels would be locked, when I explained to him that it was our intention to have a quiet drink he launched into response that again made me feel like a naughty boy, he told me that I was an adult and I could do as I pleased! but asked not to be involved as he would not be held responsible for the consequences.
On our last day we enquired about a courtesy room as we had to vacate our room at 12pm, we were offered one for 40 Euros, a couple we met offered the use of their room just to shower and have a quick freshen up, once we had done this we were scowled at and ignored by both sons, when we left the hotel we were not spoken to by any of the family or even thanked for all the money we had spent in the hotel, we left the hotel puzzled and wondered what we had done so wrong? thinking about the hotel now and the atitude that was shown towards us and others staying in there, I would have to question whether we were too nice, maybe we should have not got to know them! we would return to the island of Skiathos, but would NOT return to Hostel Paradise.
Lovely island - poor hotel
Skiathos is a beautiful quiet island with great beaches and skiathos town has a lively buzz to it. Unfortunately Paradise Hotel however is not somewhere to be recommended.
When we first arrived, being a group of three we were told the third bed would "not be as good". We were expecting as such but we were given a broken camp bed! When we informed reception of the problem, Dimitri did not apologise but reluctantly informed us that it was be sorted. After being told it was replaced I went to the room to find that they had merely turned the bed around the other way so that it was not so obvious. Again, we asked reception and on the third night they finally replaced it.
Our other criticism was the lack of sunbeds around the pools. There are 45 rooms at this hotel and approximately 86 guests when it is full but only 26 sunbeds! As a consequence, guests had to get up at 7am each morning to put the towel on the sunbed if they were planning to spend the day by the pool. We asked if there would be a possibility of getting some more sunbeds (as there is plenty of room) and we were spoken to rudely and told that it wasn't their fault but "EU regulations prevented them having more". I found this difficult to believe!
Overall the hotel has a lot of potential with great views, nice pool area, a good free bus service to the town, ok rooms etc but the attitude of the staff led some guests refer to the place as 'Hostile Hotel' and there weren't wrong! The staff created an unnecessary tension and as far as we could establish there weren't any guests present that hadn't be ignored or spoken to rudely by either Dimitri or his father Vious. Guests who have stayed there every year for the past nine years will never again and if I return to Skiathos I will certainly choose alternative accommodation.
A very apt name for this hotel
We have recently returned from the Hotel Paradise in Skiathos. The hotel is set amongst fantastic scenery in an ideal location. Allthough the hotel is up a hill, the service of several free minibuses into the town each day more than compensates. The two brothers at the hotel, Costa and Dimitri work tirelessly to ensure a first class service to all guests. The rooms are all cleaned to a very good standard, and the food is excellent, every day.
The staff also go out of their way to ensure total satisfaction, and all go the extra mile in fulfilling any requests made. This is the first time we have stayed in Skiathos, but we will definately be returning, and to the Hotel Paradise. All our previous holidays have been fantastic, in a variety of places, but we have never returned. This will be the exception, and I'm sure this will speak for itself.
The island of Skiathos is a must, very friendly, family and couple orientated, end lots of things to and see on foot, car, or boat.

Basil Fawlty of Skiathos
We have just returned from a week at the Paradise Hotel, a delightfully situated 3* with splendid views and adequate rooms. First impressions were very good until we came up against 'Basil' (Dimetri) and his father who seemed to regard their guests as nuisances rather than assets.
We had two complaints - a broken bed and inadequate sun loungers (there were 30 for 90 possible guests), both receiving a poor response and shrug of the shoulders. We had to make do with plastic chairs or 'take a taxi and buy lilos'. Apparently 'Basil' was 'not allowed' to provide any more because the space available was insufficient. Strange then that we could place our lilos in any of the many spaces around the pool. I have never met this anywhere else. Surely the point of going to a holiday resort is the opportunity to lie by the pool - that's what we had paid for!
Breakfast was not allowed on the terrace, which had wonderful views, even though tables were set up. It had to be consumed in a rather dull room.
The effect of all this tension was to engender a community spirit among the guests whe were almost all united in their grievances.
The one positive aspect was the cleanliness of the pool and the free bus service, all run by 'Billy' who was cheerful and friendly, even shaking our hands on departure.
Basil - take note!
Paradise found ...
This was our second visit to the Paradise Hotel, the staff and family couldn't do enough for us, the food was excellent, location superb. 10/10 unmissable. We will return.
