olyzon camping milina: camping
we stayed at three campsites on the pelion, sikia camping was the first and although a nice site with lots of facilities we found the staff unfriendly and it was full of posh campers if you know what i mean. So the next site olyzon in milina was my favorite, we arrived on the seccond of september so was able to negotiate a very competetive rate of 12euro a night. The tent pitches are under olive groves and are quite well spaced so you didnt feel to close to people. Although the facilities wernt as good as sikia they were good. You had 2 toilet/shower blocks which were very clean and you didnt have to que, there were sinks for washing up and washing clothes, chilled drinking water and use of a fridge, and a small shop and excelent restaurant at reasonable prices. Milina is a small quiet village with a selection of restaurants shops ect all within walking distance from the site, the beach was accross the road so excelent for that early morning swim then straight back for breakfast.
Unique Quality: The restaurant although it dousnt look fancy is very good and all the food is homemade, they will even take you in the kitchen to look at whats on offer and the prices are very reasonable and the family that own and run it are very friendly.

Hotels in Volos
You will find very good hotels ( such as Kalloni or Lazarou Hotel) near Volos on the sea side.. Visit for sure Nea Pagases(Alikes) , Kala Nera, Agria , Milopotamus...There are so many wonderful places to see

Kala Nera - Hotel Pegasus: Kala Nera - Hotel Pegasus
Unique Quality: The hotel has 20 rooms, each with its own bathroom, telephone , music and television, with satellite channels. It's a very clean place and the staff doesn't mind preparing a pizza for you at 9 AM. The pizza is great.The beach and the terrace are just across the street.
