Could anybody tell me the best route by car to nafplio from kalamata airport, i know it's about a 3 hour drive, will it be a difficult journey, or is it quite easy,

Navplio-Tripoli-Megalopoli-Messini, biggest part is E65 highway.
You can also go Tripoli-Sparta, but then you have to cross Taygettosmountains.
Airport is west of Kalamata, near Messini( new town, not the arch. place !!)

The route is just as Maria wrote, and its very easy. I just did that drive (though I did not turn off to Nafplio, I continued to Athens) last week. It was my very first time driving in Greece, though I've been here for months and have been ready to drive for awhile. Anyway, I found it to be easy driving - its mountain curvy driving for a good portion out of Kalamata, but its good road, very well marked.
