Good shoes
by Lomma
Pack normal Good shoes for walking, Nicer shoes for night...
Be aware that the street in the center of Parga is with stone tiles and if you have high heals the *nop* normally falls off. Normal vacation stuff Don't forget your camera - beautiful sites - you want to shoot pictures all the time A towel is all you need
Had two wonderful meals here
by Juliemo about Yiannis
A very busy place, always seemed to be packed when we passed by. Good friendly service and they appreciated it when I tried to order in Greek (I think!). Food was very good and very reasonablly priced. I had pasta the first time and moussaka the second and both were lovely.
Valtos, next walking distance choice for beach
by sum2004
Valtos is a nice beach located on the back of the Castle's rock. You get there by going up the castle and going down the other side of the hill. It isn't as hard as it sounds like and is a really good choice if you are looking for a walking distance solution. There are many tavernas there, so you can have lunch or just a snack and spend your whole day in the beach. The prices for an umbrella and 2 beds is 7 euros (and you can use them for as long as the day lasts)
Parga

"Parga"
Pleasant little resort on the Greek mainland of Epirus. Parga is in a beautiful setting amid hills of olive groves and islands in the bay that it overlooks. It has several beaches with shallow water and slightly course sand. Ideal for families.
The only downside is the daily boats that arrive laden with day trippers from the island of Corfu.
Enough to do when visiting Parga

"Parga"
From Parga we drove thousands of KM to Igoumenitsa - Preveza - Korinisia - Arta - Ioannina etc.
We also went to Kalambaka/Meteora (see tip), it's a very long way to go there. You'd better stay over the night. The road is good but crinkles all the time..in Holland we are not used to it...it makes you really tired.

"Parga Town"
This pictures is made from the old "castle" where you can easily walk to. (don't forget to take water with you!)
We saw very much Archeological sites but afterwards we thought the most beautifull one is in Parga Town hmm.
Parga has many many tavernas, Giros bars and 2 discotheks.
Round Parga town is enough to do but when renting a car there is more to see. But driving in the mountains is not always easy and when you come on unsurfaced roads of poor quality it is easy when you have good driving capacity.
"Oops almost forgotten"
The beach in Parga is good, clear water! Perfect to relax.
This pictures is not the beach but very cold water from the mountain. In the area of Parga.
