Casa De Delfini

Fantastic appartment!!!

We rented the largest apartment (maisonette) on the top floor.

Apartment consisted of great bathroom with strong, hot shower, master bedroom on the antresola (balkony-like structure above the main room, main room with two banches (can sleep 2 extra people) and kitchenette. There is also huge private veranda (balcony) overlooking the courtyard where you can eat your breakfast on the morning, dry your laundry during hot days and hang out during fantastic hot nights.

The owners are very nice, but not overwelming. The room is cleaned twice a week so it feels very private. Kitchenette is equipped with all you need from orange juice squizer to coffe maker. There are two AC units (since the room is about 16 feet tall) but we were using only one and it was enough.

There is plenty of parking space at front the Police, just short walking distance from the apartment and plenty of restaurants and stores on the nearby streets. The hotel is located on the quiet residential street so there is not too much noise at night.

We paid 650 Euro for week (4 people) and it was worth every penny (July 2007).
Oh, and we got a home made wine as a welcome gift :-)

Unique Quality: ..........The “Casa dei Delfini” (house of the dolphins) consists of 5 furnished apartments in the center of the old town of Rethymno.
It is located at 66-68 Nikiforou Foka street, in a quiet part of the Venetian town and its name is owed to the mosaic (made of sea pebbles) on the court yard.
It is an old Venetian-Turkish mansion(riad-like building) about 500 years old, that it was restored between 1999-2001 very carefully with much love and respect to the architectural heritage.......
