Camping Elena

Camping Elena is on a beach just before arriving in Plataria, a traditional touristic village. The camping is in a very shady place with comfortable pitches for your tent and car or roller house among green surroundings. There are plenty of very clean bathrooms and showers with 24-hour warm water. There are also refrigerators for the use of the guests and Internet connection.
The shingly beach in front of it, although not so comfortable to get, is really beautiful and the water is very clean and refreshing. I had such a divinely relaxing swim! It is idyllic when it turns pink in the sunset light with the long branches reaching the water. A small beach on the left is accessible by a 2-minute walk and it's perfect for a romantic sunset watching!
Prices are 4.5 for one person, 3 for a child, 5.5 for a car, 4,5 for a tent, and 6.5 for a caravan or a roller house.
There is a restaurant with a variety of tasty dishes cooked by the owner. I paid about 10-13e for a meal of a whole big tasty fish or a meat dish. There are daily produced, fresh, delicious, local sweets for 2e. I tried a superb “baklava” which was also a treat as well as the welcome coffee!

Marilena Apartments: Package Holiday

We stayed in the Marilena Apartments in Sivota. The position is stunning, high on a peaceful hill looking over the beautiful bay. Probably not suited for the less able as it was quite a steep trek up the road.
It wasn't very occuppied when we were there so we were able to have the whole extevsive verandah to ourselves and follow the sun.

Unique Quality: The apartment was fine for the four of us, although our verandah was a little small for all of us. We were fortunate we could spread out onto the main verandah with the other rooms being unoccuppied.

The best characteristic was the wonderful view.
