Thessaloniki Youth Hostel: Poor but Cheap

    • It's famous for dirty rooms and showers, very poor service level and lack of security. It is however incredibly cheap (EUR 8.00 per person) so if you are short of money and not afraid of anything, think of it.

    Office closed between 11 AM and 7 PM. The hostel is not a member of EOT I believe.

    Dirty rooms and showers, unpleasant service.

    A pleasant hotel at the eastern end of the Thessaloniki city complex, overlooking the Thessaloniki Gulf.

    Cool location, proximity to the airport, ring road connection to down town Thessa.

    The Philipion hotel is located in the forest of the Seich Sou, which enhances the atmosphere of the hotel. The hotel's unique location also means that guests do not need to worry about noise of the city. The hotel has free shuttle service from/ to the centre of Thess@.

    Best views of town, isolated as it is located in a green belt of forest above the ancient city walls.
    Nice prices off season, available online.

    • A small hotel just a few blocks away from the very heart of the city, in an old neoclassical building.

    Tiny clean rooms with high and nicely decorated ceilings.

    • Very pleasant service and close to the city center

    It have all you need. There is only one contra - it is placed in a very noisy part of the town.

    This hostel must be Backpacker's hell! The rooms are in a poor condition, the beds are old and the showers are pure horror! Only stay here if you travel on a rock bottom budget.

    Metropolitan Hotel is located in the east side of Thessalonica, away from the bustling noise of the urban center and yet very close to it, barely 1,5 km. On the ground floor at the bar of the hotel you can have a drink after a busy day! The staff is friendly and helpful and is always willing to accommodate your needs and wishes.

    All rooms have double glass windows, individual air-conditioning system, automatic dial phone, satellite T.V, refrigerator, stereo sound music and a functional bathroom.

    • Nice and cheap (but a little stinky, as people say) hotel. Built in a quiet surrounding. Most rooms don't have bathrooms!!!

    • Sun beach Hotel is situated on the south side of the city very near to the airport
    In the day time and in summer the city is hot and in this particular hotel
    you can enjoy the calm breeze of the sea
