BOUGATSA
Usually the Greeks dont have a breakfast at home but most of them every morning eat bougatsa (a pastry constiting of custard, cheese, or minced meat filling between layers of phyllo)accompanied with Greek coffee frappe or chocolate milk.

Hello everyone!
I'm planning on spending New Year's Eve in Thessaloniki, and since I'd rather party than going out in some restaurant, I was curious about New Year's Eve parties in Thessaloniki this year. Any advice on clubs or parties in town?
I haven't decided on hotels yet, so I don't know exactly where I will be staying, but since it will be just me and my boyfriend, I'd like to know a little bit about the gay life in the city!
So... long story short:
1. Which clubs have good parties for New Year's Eve?
2. Are people in Thessaloniki gay friendly?
Thank you!
GAY FRIENDLY? I WOULD NOT EXPECT THEM TO BE IN PUBLIC PLACES-ACTUALLY I AM SURE THEY WILL NOT LIKE IT!THESSALONIKI IS FAMOUS FOR ITS NIGHT LIFE SO SUPPOSEDLY THERE MUST BE GAY BARS ETC BUT UNFORTUNATELY I DO NOT KNOW ANY-TRY IN THE INTERNET MAYBE THERE ARE GAY CLUBS OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT THEY HUNG OUT. NOW IF YOU VISITED ATHENS I AM SURE YOU WOULD NOT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS!!

Thessaloniki is the name of the sister of Alexander the Great...our city was founded in 315BC by Kassandros her husband...king of Macedonia (the Greek territory in north greece and south of the former yougoslav republic of Macedonia...please don't misinterpret this tip)...The picture is the statue of Alexander at the quayside of Thessaloniki! In the flour-mill complex, the Milos contains a club for blues, folk, jazz, and pop groups; a nightclub with Greek singers and comedians; a bar/disco; an outdoor concert stage and movie theater; several exhibition rooms and art galleries I am much more interested with the ouzeri that serves more than 30 kinds of mezedes.Go west on Tsimiski to its end and turn left onto 28 Octobriou. At the first traffic light, turn right onto Andreadou Yioryiou and continue to the end of the street. This is quite a hike from the center, and you may want to take a cab..
There are 2 airlines operating flights from and to Thessaloniki. Olympic Airlines, the Greek national carrier, has daily flights to Athens and frequent flights to other Greek airports, like Herakleion and Chania in Crete, Alexandroupolis, Zakynthos, Santorini, Ioannina, Corfu, Lemnos, Mytilene, Skyros and Chios. Although most people don't like Olympic Airlines, it has good quality and friendly cabin crew. In the past there used to be a lot of delays but nowadays it's much better, with some problems only during summer months or when there's fog at Thessaloniki airport.
Aegean Airlines is a private airline company which operates direct flights from Thessaloniki to Athens and Herakleion and many other domestic destinations with flight change in Athens airport. Their planes are good but seat pitch is much smaller than on Olympic aircrafts. Cabin crew is also friendly and there are almost no delays.
