St.. Luke Hospital Thessaloniki

by mjbcoffee

Does anyone know of a hotel near St. Luke's Hospital in Thessaloniki? We are a family of 4 - (kids are 14,17). I would like a family room, but 2 rooms would work too if not too expensive.
I was heading to Athens for treatment, but my insurance covers better at St. Luke's.

I found the hospital and I believe bus 58 goes out that way. Is this correct?

I am leaving this Monday, May 11! So, I am frantically getting everything together. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
MJB

I think the hotel is in Panorama, Thessaloniki?

If so, have a look at Hotel Panorama http://www.hotelpanorama.gr/eng/

and Hotel Pefka:

Leics - Thank you so much! We got a room for 4 at the Pefka Hotel -99 Euro. I even found a review of someone who visited St. Luke's and stayed here. They loved it! Thanks again!

Travel Tips for Thessaloniki

by mauro_pd

Seafood is excellent almost everywhere but try an 'ouzery' called Melathron, get a relationship with a waiter (there's an italian soccer team of Juventus fan which looks like Zidane :-) and let him to suggest you best dishes (mezedes). They actually have this habit: they do not order to a waiter, they really speak with him for few minutes in order to understand which is the best daily dish ... the only problem is that you should learn a little bit of greek ! Ice coffees !!!

X-MAS in Thessaloniki

by JuliaK

My last visit to Thessaloniki was three days before 2003...
I was there just for a day, but I obviously I had time to meet with Panos.
X-mas lights and decorations everywhere!!!
It was absolutely beautiful as you can see!!!
or is it just me that I think so? (I had a good reason to smile all day...)

Live Music

by DrexelDragon about Malt & Jazz

Nice place where some jazz acts come through along with other types of cover groups. Had a decent time. Cute servers. Good mix of older & younger crowd. No one seemed to be under 21 though. Drinks were expensive. I was drink Gin and Tonic. Only had 3 and I don't know what kind of Gin I was even getting, but it cost me 30 euros. I was told by my friend I was with that the prices increase according to who is playing. Everyone in Greece dresses up even if they're going to McDonalds.

Fast food chain: Goody's
For the budget consious traveller or those who cannot be bothered to cook Goody's offer a great variety of meals, from hamburgers and chips to proper dishes.
Clean and fast - unless really busy. Cheeseburger and chips. What is so special about their cheeseburgers you may wonder. All I can say is that they are like VT; addictive!
