    See the picture, Do you like the view? It is taken on the balcony of the hotel room. Balconies with outstanding view to the holy rocks. It is a small family unit, clean and friendly. It has about 12-15 rooms dbls or trpls, I think it is open all year around, and it has really good price. 35 Euros for a double room.
    But the basic reason I recommend it is for the view. Breathtaking. Request a room with view to the rocks.

    I definitely recommend it for its category.

    Kalambaka offers a number of hotels accommodations for visitors to Meteora, and its busy main street is filled with small tourist shops, cafes and restaurants.
    The Kaikis Hotel situated at the eastern entrance of the Town of Kalambaka. Hotel Kaikis is a family run, small and well fitted hotel. The pleasant environment with luxuries and modern amenities combined with a family environment guarantee a pleasant stay.

    The Hotel Kaikis consists of 18 rooms (singles, doubles and triples). All the rooms are equipped with air conditioning, heating, television, en-suite bathroom and private balcony.

    • Quite a popular campground, very nicely placed with a marvelous view of monumental Meteora.

    Climbing and gliding training courses are available. The staff speaks English. The campground is also equipped with a pool.

    Antoniadis Hotel is a new and charming B category hotel located on the main street of Kalambaka. It is open all year long and has of 59 rooms. All of the rooms have heating, bath/shower, hairdryer, telephone, music, balcony, mountain view, bathroom, air-conditioning, TV and mini-bar.
    It is nothing special but you need it for just one night there.

    Facilities at the hotel include a spacious restaurant for almost 300 persons with main Greek but also international dishes, a bar open day and night, a conference and seminar room, the roof garden with swimming pool and pool bar/breakfast room, cafeteria, lobby lounge, reception, TV room, and room service.

    Guesthouse Sotiriou is a small pension (5 rooms) in a recently restorated house at the quiet village of kastraki at the roots of the meteora rocks. The rooms are very clean as well as everything in this pension. Every room has it's own character, but every piece of furniture gives the impression that you are in a Greek house 100 years ago. The view to meteora is excellent. The rooms offer everything a 4 stars hotel should offer (TV, Air Condition etc).

    The breakfast was very good (fried & boiled eggs, Feta cheese, butter, honey, home made marmelade etc). It is in a 5 min walk from the center of the village , where the majority of the tavernas are.

    The owners are very friendly and helpfull. By the time we left they gave us a bottle of wine of their own production.

    Alright, well first off they pick up personally from the train station or bus station and drive you to this perfect house surrounded by these massive rocks that are topped with the monastaries you proabably came to see. They have clean rooms, internet, home cooked meals, showers, laundry and the friendliest mum and son you'll meet. They're a home away from home.

    You get a room, for a really good price, with a belcony and an amazing view onto these giant rocks. It's quiet and really close to the center and the trail to the monastaries.

    You can look for a shelter either in Kalambaka or in the neighbouring village Kastraki. I can suggest Antoniadis Hotel (B class hotel), located in Kalambaka. Although it does not differ too much from other hotels, but it is new so far. The rooms are quite small, but I did not die through the night. In other hotels they may be smaller.
