Delightful Accommodation in Katapola
Titika is run by a lovely young couple who have made the place stylish and a superb place to stay. There is a beautiful garden with vine-covered breakfast area. Late September the price was only 20 euro for the 2 of us, breakfast was 5 euro each with freshly laid eggs, home made preserves, etc.
The building is ideally placed, about halfway round the bay, on the waters edge, so you can walk to either sides of the bay to restaurants and bars.
Katapola is a lovely town/village. Although the beaches are not great, there are little caiques running from there to other beaches. There are regular busesfrom Katapola to the Chora, which is a typical, traditional one.
Unique Quality: Immaculately clean, absolutely spotless. One of only two places we came across in 5 weeks travel that we would unhesitatingly give 10 out of 10 for cleanliness
Simple but very stylish rooms, with kettle and fridge, shower, w.c.
Extremely helpful and charming couple own Titija, for whom nothing is too much trouble. (Husband got up and took us in the car at 4.45am to the ferry, which was only 500 yards away, so that we wouldn't have to carry our suitcases!).
Directions: On the waterfront . Turn right out of the bus/car park and walk 200 yards.
