In summer, Santorini's Black sand beaches become so hot that a mat is essential. but it was not the case with us because we visited this exotic black ash (from lava in 1650 BC) Beach in mid-November. I liked this beach more than the Red Beach. There is nice view from the Beach towards the Top of the hill (Mt. Profitis - 567 M), which is the highest point of the whole Island. We also came to know that this beach becomes quite busy in Summer.
