A Busy Day At The Old Port
The Greek Cathedral MITROPOLI in Fira, Santorini, was built for the arrival of King Otto in 1842. The weekend that we were in Santorini there was a lovely wedding going on at Mitropoli. The square in front of the Cathedral was teeming with the bride and groom and their guests and also with VT members as this square was the meeting place for our get-togethers. It was also right near our Hotel Kavalari.
fira, the main town of santorini island, is where we all met. i will remember it forever because, when i rounded the bend and headed for the meeting place in front of the church, the first thing i saw was a huge group of people giving each other a lot of love!
it's a bustling town with great views everywhere you look, great shops everywhere you turn, and simply great looking people everywhere.
