Villa Loizos

Price, Location and Quiet!

Thanks to Galatea and Janet for putting this accommodation on the list for the European VT Meet 2007 on Santorini Island, a good few VT-ers have had a great stay. I stayed from 30 May to 4 June 2007 and could not fault the accommodation. I stayed in apartment 11 and the only down side to this apartment is that it is (I think) the only apartment without a balcony or patio. In exchange for this small downside, you can get a partial view of the Caldera from the bathroom window, as well as the window nearest the wardrobe.

The accommodation itself is listed as non-Caldera view and, in general, this would be the case. Apartment 11 comprised a small hallway, small kitchen, bedroom and showeroom. Facilities included 2-plate cooker, fridge/freezer, satellite TV, communal pool and comfortable communal seating area. Breakfast can be included for an extra 5 Euros.

Within easy walking distance (at the bottom of the hill) is the Champion supermarket where you can purchase supplies like yoghurt, drinks (inc. water, beers, fruit juices, etc.) and fresh fruit as well as general grocery items for storing in the small fridge in the kitchen.

Unique Quality: The owner and staff at this apartment building are helpful and able to provide you with plenty of information regarding tours, excursions and local bus routes/timetables. They will also arrange to collect you from the airport or ferry port - just e-mail or call in advance.

PARENTS BEWARE : Do not let your children lose with the TV remote control. You do NOT want them accessing Channel 3 (hint, hint).
