The place is clean...its on a bit height though. You have to climb a bit to reach it; but, once you are used to it. You are set. The hostel has an awesome view of the port and everyone in the evening meets up at the balcony where you start drinking and making friends. There is an orientation by Francesco + a free shot of tequila for new comers on what to do, where to go etc. Town is just a walk down...and thats where the party scene begins.

A quick stumble from the nightlife

If you are in Ios for the partying, this is where you should stay. Francesco's is located in the heart of the village with easy access to all of the bars and resturaunts. The rooms were very clean and modern for a hostel. There was also a balcony with an amazing view of the sea. Our private double was only 15 euro in mid-June and worth every cent. There is a bar at the hostel where you can often find Francesco himself drinking and hanging out with the guests. Having a location in town unfortunately means that they also have neighbors, so being considerate, they close the hostel bar at midnight. They then procede to lead a train of drunk kids to the Blue Note bar which is also owned by Francesco. The staff at the hostel, which includes Francesco's wife Maria at the front desk, were extremely friendly and helpful. It was a little noisy, but you are usually pretty drunk once you get back from the bars, so sleeping is not a problem. I would recommend this place, but probably only for a younger crowd.

the best place to stay in Ios

Its awesome..Francesco is an awesome person. Very friendly and very helping. Tell him about me "Friend from India" and he will remember me. There are dorm style as well as double bedrooms available. With/Without shower. I was put up in a 3 bed room dorm with clean beds and good mates. It was awesome
