The Paraportiane church appears to have been constructed during the settlement of the fortress (Castro) of Chora during the 15th and 16th centuries. It is a two storey building that houses five little churches.
The brilliant white exterior together with the beautiful blue water and sky, make for incredible picture opportunities.
It is a beautiful beach bar at the famous beach of Elia. You can start your day with breakfast and continue later with a veal fillet accompanied with koumandaria (Cypriot sweet wine) sauce and grapes.
Not exactly paradise, but fun!
The beach here is pebbly. There are also rocks underfoot just as you enter the sea. The water is clear and torquoise, and there are two rocks that you can wade out to for sitting on. There is also a place to the left side (looking out) where you can rent jet-skis. There are several bars one after another. I'm sure the party would be more hopping during the summer with more people.
Club Cavo Paradiso is perched up on the rocky cliff.
Beers are the same price as SuperP.
MTV Spring Break - European Style
"Been there, done that -- won't do that again!"
So, we spent 2 nights in Mykonos.
Perhaps as a college kid, I would have LOVED the party atmosphere... day into night, it was all one big party.
Paradise Beach made MTv Spring Break look like a knitting class -- people from all parts of the world dancing, often nude, or mostly nude, on a large platform near the beach bar.
EVERYONE smoked and drank the entire day at the beach.....
Then we go back, shower and head out for the night.... the buses could barely get into the main drag to drop us off because there are people EVERYWHERE.
It was a fun experience, but as a 28 year old whose college days are over, I can say I have no desire to go back to this Island.
Even the scenery was a little run-down, nothing to get excited about....
If you are 21- 25 and looking to party, however, this is definitely a stop for you!
