Delos - must-see from Mykonos
by SurfaceTravel
A must-see day trip from Mykonos is to take the boat to Delos, birthplace of Apollo and the largest city in the world at one point. Its history goes back to 3000 BC, and the remains are in excellent condition. The entire island is a UNESCO site. I don't think it took more than 20 minutes to get there.
Church of Paraportiani
by al_mary
This church is one of the most
famous architectural structures
in Greece - Church of Paraportiani.
Positioned near the main harbor
entrance, this church is the central
feature of the 'Kastro" or castle area,
the oldest section of town.

It's name means inner or secondary door which it was to the
Medieval stone walls which encircled the area.
First begun in 1475, Paraportiani in reality is a group of five
smaller churches which were constructed over a period of time
and not completed until well into the 17th century.
The two story structure was molded together utilizing four of it's
churches to form a base for the fifth church which when placed
on top formed a central domed roof.
MYKONOS, SUPERPARADISE!
by AlexDJ
"Land of wind..."
When I arrived in Mykonos, the first thing that impressed me was the strong and continuous wind! In every moment, in every time, I was wipped by the gusts and when I asked to a native if they had always that wind, he answered: "what wind are you talking about?"...
"...Beaches..."
But Mykonos offers as well al lot of beautiful spots, such as its golden, sandy beaches and trasparent waters.
You can find a beach for every need, from nudists, families and young people looking for party.
"...and never ending nightlife!!!"
Nightlife in Mykonos is so active and powerful that it's impossible not to be involved and overwhelmed. During the morning and the first afternoon it seems so quiet, but when the sunset get closer and you're still on the beach, the volume starts to get louder and louder...and you don't stop 'till you get enough!
