Wandering Mykonos Town
by sieffron
Mykonos Town, or Hora, is a charming maze of narrow alleyways and white-washed buildings containing art galleries, crafts shops, restaurants, jewelery stores, and bars among other things. Wandering the streets is one of the highlights, and in my case the only highlight, of Mykonos.
CYCLADIC FERRIES
by mtncorg
Most people go to Mykonos by air on a package deal. Flights from northern Europe land just south of the Chora. The Package Flights are Mykonos' lifeblood. Its lifeline is the Cycladic ferries, though. Direct connections are available from Pireaus.
Go to Delos!

Delos is this little island near Mykonos. The island is completely covered in ruins and is only open for day trips. There are no overnight places to stay and no restaurants on the island, so make sure you don't miss the last ferry! Be sure to pay for a guided tour to learn all the fascinating facts about the island. Then be sure to climb up to the highest point of the island - the views are worth it! Make sure to bring your own drinks and snacks because there's no place to buy any on the island, and you'll definitely want to have something to drink during your hike up to the peak (which is really just climbing a lot of steps).
Search for Peter the Great

Mykonos has two community pet Pelicans, male and female. They waddle down the street right next to you as if you're not there. It's cool, because it's as if they're a cartoon character. They're used to people, but don't try to caress and fondle them. I saw one snap at a woman.
They seem to hang out around Niko's Tavern a lot.
Mykonos - something for everyone
by sweetbean
Mykonos was the second stop on our honeymoon, and it was a very welcome change from the hustle and bustle of Athens. When we got to our hotel (the St. John) and were greeted with friendly faces and helpful staff, and then we saw the amazing views of the Agean sea, we were hooked. The room was great and the views were nothing short of spectacular. The hotel wasn't near town, but there was a bus that we could take or taxi service which was a little more expensive, but more flexible.
